lovely happenings

Sooo.. duck ponds anyone? YES! My cute niece Syd came and stayed with me and we went to the pond right by my house. We bought some bread and headed down to the park to feed to hungry ducks! The ducks LOVED us. Syd was trying to touch one the whole night! The ducks are super tame and will practically eat the bread right out or your hands! So if it has been your life long dream to touch a duck.. come visit me and I will make your dreams come true:)

Okay my class mom's are soo cute! They made this door sign for Teacher Appreciation Week! I LOVE them! *Notice innocent Meg hiding behind the door! (Her and B came and stayed with me and visited my classroom! They were such good teachers! I put them to work and had them take over a math center! Thanks girls!)

And who doesn't enjoy dressing up in a tutu, crazy socks and bandana to run a 5K. There is this running program at our school called "Girls on the Run" and I was a running buddy for cute Brooklyn! It was super fun!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY B!!! Bailey stayed the night on her birthday at my house, so at 7am before I left for work Dani and I made her pancakes and gave her a birthday breakfast in bed/couch!

Lorie had her BABY!!! King Warr! He is such a sweetie! I love holding him and watching him sleep in a non-stalkerish way! He is so precious and I am so happy that Low and King are happy and healthy!

Did I mention I LOVE my class? They are the cutest! I really am so thankful for each kid! I have enjoyed my first year teaching so much. Each student has so much personality and character! They are so fun to teach and learn from. Each day is something new with new funny stories (which people probably get tired of hearing from me!) and new challenges. I swear I laugh so hard each day at something funny one of them says.

U-2

Spencer and I went to see BONO this week! It was AMAZING! It was by far the best concert I have been to! The Fray opened for them which was pretty sweet too! U-2 has been together for 35 years! They had 51 semi-trucks to bring in their enormous stage! It seriously made the football stadium look tiny! We were pretty close to the front and had a good view of him! Spencer is a true fan of U-2 and so he knew most of the guys songs.. I probably knew about 1/2 (you know his classics!:) but it was still pretty entertaining to just have Spencer sing to me the whole time! I have a sweet video of one of his great songs down below!
Bono pretty much sang for a good straight 2 hours! He was a pretty chill and collected guy. You could just tell he loved performing and putting on a good show! He did a lot of campaigning for http://www.one.org/us/ ONE, to fight against poverty and extreme diseases. It was pretty sweet!
Has anyone else ever wondered why he always wears sunglasses? Well I did a little research and this is what he told Rolling Stone in an interview: " I have very sensitive eyes to light. If someone takes my photograph, I will see the flash for the rest of the day. My right eye swells up. I've a blockage there, so that my eyes go red a lot. So it's part vanity, part privacy and part sensitivity."

His huge stage!

we ran to BosTon!

So this last week, Dani and I ran the Boston Marathon! It was such a neat experience! I absolutly loved it! There are about 30,000 people who run the race. That is a ton of people! On top of that, there are thousands of people cheering for you along the way. There is hardly ever a spot in the race that there isn't someone cheering for you. It is amazing the patriotism this city has for Boston and the marathon runners! I loved their energy and love for the runners! So many people would yell to me, "you go blue shirt!" (I was wearing a blue tanktop) "your HOT.. keep running!" "you gotta run hada and fasta!" (now this is to be said in a Boston accent where they don't pronounce their 'er' sounds. The fans were screaming their lungs out to cheer you on! So many people cheering for you! It is very inspiring! My personal favorite was this guy that was telling his friend to cheer by saying.. "Just cheer for them.. they are running to frickin BOSTON!"

Before the race, dani and I did a little sight seeing. Boston is a really cool city!

And then the fun part.. so my parents came down to cheer for us and little did we know that our sister Rachelle was coming too! She totally surprised us and came to cheer for us! Love you guys! It was awesome to have them there supporting us!

Here we are ready to go the morning of the race!

After the race with our medal and space blanket! My legs were so sore! I had two goals for this marathon... to make it under 4 hours and to not walk. I barely made both! I made it in 3:56 and some places on the course it took everything out of me to not stop and walk. My legs were killing me by mile 22 and I was hurting really bad!

The dream team cheered us on! You are the bEST!

After the race, we took a little Duck Tour. This was a bus on wheels that took us around the city, but then it turned into a boat and drove us on the Charles River!

Funny Bus saying..

Then we decided to take alittle tour to New York!

..and... spencer decided to join us! He doesn't like taking goofy pictures.. so I initiated him into the Bradshaw way by introducing him to the "funny faces" we like to do!

Times Square!

Walkin the Brooklyn Bridge!

Shell Bell workin it on the bridge!

Brooklyn Bridge!

Getting a little pizza in Little Italy at Lombardi's!

The Lady herself

Phantom show! It was wayy good!

Riding Bikes in central park! the Tandom was a doozie!

Livin it up..

so this last month has been quite eventful! I was able to go to a session of General Conference with my roomies (we got amazing seats thanks to our VERY OWN 'Marianne Holman: Church News'.)

Parks came and stayed a few nights with me and went to school with me! The kiddies LOVED him! They kept telling me that "my brother is awesome" and asked if he would come outside to recess (which of course he did!) and if he would eat lunch with them (which he did that too!) He really is great with kids!

I also went to this sweet place called Pirates Cove with Spencer. It was this resort down by Vegas that is themed from Pirates of the Caribbean! It was sweet with a waterslide, rope-swing, themed rooms, pools, hot tubs and cool places to explore! We went into the city of sin one of the nights and went to dinner and a show with his company. Thank you At-Task! :)

You gotta see the water show when your in Vegas!

Jumping off the crows nest!

..and every month we have a sister dinner at Sarah's house. I LOVE getting together with my sisters. They are such amazing girls and I look up to each of them. I love eating Sarah's delicious food, watching Bailey dance to anything and everything, Megan scream/laugh (not sure which one) to funny jokes, listen to Dani mess up words (sequence instead of sequins) They're the bEsT!
