we ran to BosTon!

So this last week, Dani and I ran the Boston Marathon! It was such a neat experience! I absolutly loved it! There are about 30,000 people who run the race. That is a ton of people! On top of that, there are thousands of people cheering for you along the way. There is hardly ever a spot in the race that there isn't someone cheering for you. It is amazing the patriotism this city has for Boston and the marathon runners! I loved their energy and love for the runners! So many people would yell to me, "you go blue shirt!" (I was wearing a blue tanktop) "your HOT.. keep running!" "you gotta run hada and fasta!" (now this is to be said in a Boston accent where they don't pronounce their 'er' sounds. The fans were screaming their lungs out to cheer you on! So many people cheering for you! It is very inspiring! My personal favorite was this guy that was telling his friend to cheer by saying.. "Just cheer for them.. they are running to frickin BOSTON!"

Before the race, dani and I did a little sight seeing. Boston is a really cool city!

And then the fun part.. so my parents came down to cheer for us and little did we know that our sister Rachelle was coming too! She totally surprised us and came to cheer for us! Love you guys! It was awesome to have them there supporting us!

Here we are ready to go the morning of the race!

After the race with our medal and space blanket! My legs were so sore! I had two goals for this marathon... to make it under 4 hours and to not walk. I barely made both! I made it in 3:56 and some places on the course it took everything out of me to not stop and walk. My legs were killing me by mile 22 and I was hurting really bad!

The dream team cheered us on! You are the bEST!

After the race, we took a little Duck Tour. This was a bus on wheels that took us around the city, but then it turned into a boat and drove us on the Charles River!

Funny Bus saying..

Then we decided to take alittle tour to New York!

..and... spencer decided to join us! He doesn't like taking goofy pictures.. so I initiated him into the Bradshaw way by introducing him to the "funny faces" we like to do!

Times Square!

Walkin the Brooklyn Bridge!

Livin it up..

so this last month has been quite eventful! I was able to go to a session of General Conference with my roomies (we got amazing seats thanks to our VERY OWN 'Marianne Holman: Church News'.)

Parks came and stayed a few nights with me and went to school with me! The kiddies LOVED him! They kept telling me that "my brother is awesome" and asked if he would come outside to recess (which of course he did!) and if he would eat lunch with them (which he did that too!) He really is great with kids!

I also went to this sweet place called Pirates Cove with Spencer. It was this resort down by Vegas that is themed from Pirates of the Caribbean! It was sweet with a waterslide, rope-swing, themed rooms, pools, hot tubs and cool places to explore! We went into the city of sin one of the nights and went to dinner and a show with his company. Thank you At-Task! :)

You gotta see the water show when your in Vegas!

Jumping off the crows nest!

..and every month we have a sister dinner at Sarah's house. I LOVE getting together with my sisters. They are such amazing girls and I look up to each of them. I love eating Sarah's delicious food, watching Bailey dance to anything and everything, Megan scream/laugh (not sure which one) to funny jokes, listen to Dani mess up words (sequence instead of sequins) They're the bEsT!

MoAB!!!

LOVE HER!!! LOVE MOAB!!! LOVE WARM WEATHER!!!

1 year later....

April 1st, 2010 I moved into my house. I got back from Africa in February and lived with my sister Sarah while I looked for a place to live. I found a great ward and then moved into the boundaries. I am so grateful for how the Lord works. I had been looking for a few months and looked into other houses, but I am so grateful that those offers fell through. Though, at the time, I was sad and worried I would never find a house.. I am so happy that I live where I live now. I absolutly LOVE my roomates, love the area that I live in, love that I live close to my sister, love that I can carpool to work with other teachers and am just HAPPY!

I decided to re-arrange my room this weekend and this is how it turned out... before it looked like this... click here

Did I mention that training is going no bueno? Since January I have been in a weird funk with training and life in general (okay maybe just relationships in general).. Spring is here and I am finally starting to get into a better groove! I am feeling so much better and am actually motivating myself to get up and run...and it feels great! Last saturday I got up at 5:30a.m to run my 20 miler...yay! happy running!

happy St. Pat's Day!

There may have been a leprechaun that visited our classroom today! The kids were so.... so... um excited!:) Yes I know they were excited but to me or any other person that visited our classroom it looked like a mad-house ALL DAY!! no joke.. oh my goodness they were off the walls! I don't know but something about wearing green, seeking leprechauns and wanting to learn all day about how to catch one does something for a 6 year old! :)

But as you can tell, I sort of egged it on! While the students were out at recess our little friend came and visited each student's desk and gave them a gold coin! Ahh they were screaming with excitment when they came in! It was really cute!

We set up a peanut butter trap with notes and a rainbow!

We thought that we would be able to catch him in the peanut butter, but he managed to escape! Darn it!:)

okay best part of the whole day.. the students "thought" they heard the leprechaun knock on the back wall, so.. imagine this... all 26 students rushed over to the back cabinet and tried to find him! :) it was seriously the craziest thing ever to see bodies flailing, arms, legs in this huge pile of first graders! one student was even holding a mini whiteboard and it snapped in half.. oh goodness!

2 students looking behind the cubbies for our friend!
