INGRID!!

Waiting in the freezing snowy cold to our friend Ingrid!

Meg and Becca

So I went to see Ingrid Michaelsen with Megan and her cute friend Becca this last week! It was soo much fun and Ingird was AMAAZING!! Wow she has such an amazing voice and was just so sweet and funny! I absolutely adore her and think she is one amazing woman! One funny thing she did was for her last song.. she sang and then was like.. "You know what? We are all busy people and instead of me going off stage now and standing in the cold and waiting a few minutes and then coming back onstage to perform a few more songs.. how about I hide behind my piano and wait a bit, and then I will come back and sing some more. Deal?" It was great.. and that is what she did.. she just sat behind her piano while we all clapped and then she stood up and played a few more songs!!

happy 100 post!

so while I was on my run tonight I was thinking about something... DEDICATION and what that means. While running I saw a father dressed in a bumblebee outfit decked out in face paint. He was holding his baby girl..... DEDICATION! Then I passed the cutest old couple who were litarally laughing really really hard! They have had DEDICATION their whole lives toward eachother. I pass by a high school on my run and I saw a mother walking out of the school with her daughter who had down syndrome... DEDICATION once again. I ran passed another house where a mother was trying to herd three small children (all dressed up for Halloween in their costumes) into her car... DEDICATION.
K so this got me thinking about what and who I am dedicated to. Sure I am dedicated to MY health by running, MY career in teaching, MY bathroom by cleaing it, MY, MY, MY.. I am excited to be dedicated to more than things that just revolve around myself one day. I look forward to that day when I can dedicate myself to someone else, to little ones, to things that matter and people who care! My parents are such a HUGE example of DEDICATION! Dedication to their children in every way and Dedication to eachother!
...anyway... those are my thoughts... this might have to do with the fact that it is a Friday night and while having NO plans I decided to go on a run, clean the kitchen inside and out, clean our disguisting bathroom and now write on ly blog! yay! :)

The ultimate Road Trip... like we do

So this is how our Hava Supi Trip started, middled, and ended.......

We left pretty late Wednesday and made it to Las Vegas (Lake Mead) area and camped in a fun little campground right next to HOOVER DAM!! We didn't take out our tent and layed under the stars with the trantulas, motorhomes, and crickets!

We get up super early the next morning and make the 5 hour drive to the Hava Supi Trail Head. Little did we know that it would be CLOSED because of flashfloods!!! We see this sign.. but being the Americans that we are.. don't think much of it and WANT to go SO BAD.. we ignored the sign, thinking... if they really wanted to keep us out, they would have posted a bigger sign.. and like 10 of them.. RIGHT? RIGHT?

Nope.. just one measly small sign at the bottom of the road.. so we drove an hour up the road and then was turned down by this sweet villager that told us that we couldn't hike down to the villiage.. DANG IT!!! So we improvise.. We got onto Highway Route 66 and drove to some fun little towns!

Next, we head to SEDONA, ARIZONA!!! So much fun.. our first stop of Slide Rock, a natural waterslide!! It was so much fun.. and beautiful!

Then we went to some sweet Indian ruins!! There are soo many in Arizona and we pretty much stopped at all of them!

I'm pretty sure I was meant to be an Indian Woman. I am AMAZED and in AWE at the Indians, their craftsmanship, inventions, and genius ways!

Do you see how they built their homes in the cliffs!!!!! GENIUS!

Then we hiked up to some vortex's! A Vortex we learned is a natural energy field where you are supposed to feel happy, beautiful and entergtic! And we DID!

A little hike-em-ups!

Beautiful land!

At the top. Sunset. Pretty!

The next day, we did a little hike-em-ups on the HIGHEST peak in ARIZONA, called MT. HUMPHREY.. we liked to call her HUMPH!

and... more Indians Ruins! SO AMAZING!!!

K this one was crazy! It was like a little community that built their homes in cliffs.. probably to keep away from the HOT sun, animals, weather, wind...

and LAST STOP.. the 4 CORNERS! I have always wanted to go to the four corners and made it happen with Dani! YAY!

We may have also bought some moccasins to be more like our ancestor Indian women!
Our trip was super duper fun! I love traveling with Dani! She is super easy going and fun to be around! Next trip: Navoo... whos with us?

I just LOVE this time of year! I love the changing colors, the Autumn breeze, fall clothes, wearing my hoodies again (oh wait, I still wore them in the summer), driving up the beautiful canyon, and watching General Conference!

My friend Megan came down from Rexburg and we had a blast! We were able to watch Conference outside with my laptop and soak up the suns rays, eat yummy food, go shopping, watch SALT, and go to the actual Conference Center on Sunday and see the Prophet speak! We didn't have tickets, but we had determination! We went to the Conference Center and I just held up my two fingers showing "two" and started yelling, "Tickets, we need 2 tickets"... Some people may have thought we were just some random girls saying "Peace" with our fingers in the 'peace sign'.. but no. We were on a mission to get into that Center! After 15 minutes, a Kind Soul gave us 2 tickets! It was amazing!

Me and my rooimes also drove up the canyon and took some fun fall pictures!

speed dating...

So my friend Natalie and I decided to go to FHE a few Monday's ago.. not for the food, no not for the cute boys, not even for the supposedly "fun times" you were to have. No we went to be able to blog about our experience later.. and let me tell you.. it was sure an experience! FHE was speed dating with the whole STAKE involved!

Let me just tell you about a few guys that I was able to meet, talk to, and supposed to know everything about their life and figure out if I like them in 3 minutes or less... There was Chad who had an awful looking beard and reminded me of Frodo. He was an only child. He was very smily (which isn't a bad thing) but when I proceded to ask him how he liked being the only child... he went on to tell me about how he wasn't the only child per say... he had a cat. He said, "I have a cat *BIG SMILE* named Leo*BIG SMILE* and he has been one of the founders of our famliy *BIG SMILE*. He is a Tabby Cat *BIG SMILE* and we got him by trading someone a lawn mower".... k wait a second.. I checked out at the part he said that his cat was one of the founders of his family!

There were a few more like Chad that I was just trying with all my might not to bust up laughing! :) There were actually a few normal ones as well, so it was a good combination!

I just had to blog about my awesome night though and how much fun it is being an akward single adult that goes to things like "Speed Dating".. who does that?
